Keith David is a New York - based film, television, voice actor, and singer.
He has acted in many mainstream films, such as 2004 ensemble drama film Crash, 1998 comedy film There's Something About Mary directed by the Farrelly brothers, Bobby and Peter, 2002 comedy film Barbershop directed by Tim Story and 1990 black comedy film Men at Work written and directed by Emilio Estevez, who also starred in the lead role.
He has also had noteworthy roles in several cult faves, including John Carpenter's films The Thing (as Childs) and They Live (as Armitage), the Riddick films Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick (as the Imam), the General in Armageddon, King in Oliver Stone's Platoon, and Big Tim in Darren Aronofsky's Requiem for a Dream.
David is presently starring as a Elroy Patashnik in the sixth season of the comedy series Community.
