Veteran underground emcee/go-to producer Ill Legit (a.k.a. Must Be Illy) has forged a reputation for making exciting ground breakingmusic with his clever wordplay, intricate rhyme patterns, and creamy production.
Ill Legit has been writing music since 1996. In 2002, Ill Legit attended Columbia College Chicago, an independent not-for- profit school located in the South Loop district of Chicago and eventually earned his B.A. in Arts, Entertainment and Media Management. While attending Columbia College Chicago, he pursued his musical career.
He is also known for his frequent collaborations with other emcees and groups like Vic Spencer, Hurt Feelings Not Sorry, Adalesson, Onry Ozzborn, Yosef Una, Black On Black Rhyme, Established Society, The Gent$, The Ill & The Restless, Dj Alo, Chris Crack, JR Blac, Wes Restless, IceFace, oriJanus, Young Live, Ezekiel38, Black Matt, Jus Sam, etc. and has released numerous albums/mixtapes/EP’s including Ill Legit’s ongoing The Life & Rhymes of Ill Legit mixtape series, Thou Shalt Not Sleep, Vol. 1, On With The Show, Let Me In, Audio Innuendo, The Goodie Bag, Sidetracked, Another Day, Another Dollar (EP), Survival Skills, and Dazed & Confused, and This Is A Stick Up.
