Forever Hardcore: ECW Documentary

ECW was a pro wrestling organization that was founded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in '92 by Tod Gordon. ECW closed when then proprietor Paul Heyman filed for Chapter 11 in April 2001. The promotion displayed different intercontinental styles of pro wrestling, spanning from lucha libre to puroresu and hardcore wrestling, and became infamous for having an canny, often intense and fanatical fanbase that shunned the more cartoonish programming of WCW and WWE.

After purchasing the capital of ECW in 2003, WWE relaunched the ECW franchise as a WWE brand with their current Raw and Smack Down brands. It debuted on June 13, 2006 on Sci Fi in the U.S.and ran for close to four years until it aired its final episode on February 16, 2010 on the rebranded Syfy Channel. It was replaced the next week with WWE NXT.
