Final Girl is an action thriller film directed by screenwriter Tyler Shields in his directorial debut, written by Adam Prince, based on the story by Stephen Scarlata, Alejandro Seri, and Johnny Silver, and starring Abigail Breslin (Signs, Little Miss Sunshine, No Reservations, Nim's Island, Definitely, Maybe, My Sister's Keeper, and Zombieland) , Alexander Ludwig (The Hunger Games), and Wes Bentley (best known for his roles as Ricky Fitts in 1999’s American Beauty, Blackheart in 2007’s Ghost Rider, Thomas in 2007’s P2, Seneca Crane in 2012’s The Hunger Games, and Doyle in 2014’s Interstellar).
In the film, introvert Veronica (Abigail Breslin) is the new kid at school. Shy and socially awkward, Veronica is the perfect target for a group of teen boys who lure naive girls into the woods to hunt and do away with them for sport.
It’s only after they get Victoria alone that she turns the tables on them, slips away from them and revealed she’s armed and knows how to protect herself. Little do they know, Veronica is a trained assassin and chose slaying these boys as her final test.
Final Girl will be in a select few theaters across the country (typically in cities like New York, L.A., and Chicago) and through video on demand on August 14, 2015.
