The young attendees of a space camp find themselves in space for real when their shuttle is accidentally launched into orbit.

- Kelly Preston as Tish Ambrosé, a typical "Valley girl" teen
- Leaf Phoenix as Max Graham, 12-year-old boy who is a Star Wars buff
- Jinx, a sentient robot who becomes Max's friend
