Jill Scott - "Woman" (Album Stream)
On July 24, after a four-year hiatus, beautiful songbird Jill Scott releaed her fifth studio album entitled solely Woman on her new label home Atlantic Records. When songwriting, Jill Scott draws on experiences from her own life and avoids playing it safe with well-worn cookie-cutter pop song formulas. She takes her cues from soul legends Anita Baker, Millie Jackson, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Gamble & Huff, Motown, smooth jazz that she was exposed to as a kid and going to jazz clubs with her mother, and Broadway play The Wiz.
