UK based hip-hop producer Configa who has often been compared to hip-hop luminaries DJ Premier and Large Professor for his ability to create different soundscapes blending elements of funk, disco. jazz fusion, along with crisp hard-to-find drum tracks and incorperating them into his work has recently released a new album entitled "The Calm Before HaStility EP" with longtime collaborator and its available for purchase on Bandcamp along with his entire catalog.
Over the years Configa has been able to carve out his own niche by recreating 90's boom-bap and repackaging it. He has even recorded a 2Pac posthumous studio album that contained remixes of previously unreleased music recorded by Shakur before his 1996 death entitled, "Pac To The Essence, Vol. 1."
