E-A-SKI (@EASki) featuring Redd Tha Rsonist (@reddtharsonist) - "Something Lite/Old Ass Nigga" (Official Music Video)


E-A-Ski is straight outta Oakland and has been on his grind since the early 90’s working as an in-house producer for No Limit Records when he was based in the Bay Area. He has also worked alongside Spice 1 on his self-titled debut album (East Bay Gangster, Young Nigga, and 187 Pure) in 1992 and the follow up  187 He Wrote (Dumpin’ ‘Em In Ditches, Runnin’ Out Da Crackhouse, Trigga Got No Heart, and R.I.P.) in 1993. Both albums went gold.
E-A-Ski and his partner CMT produced several tracks for No Limit  during its early days (Master P’s "Bullets Gots No Name" from his fourth studio album 99 Ways to Die and Niggas From Calli, Little Slut, I’m The Funkest, I Wear A Bullet Proof Vest, Understanding The Criminal Mind, and 1-900-Crime from TRU’s debut album Understanding the Criminal Mind)


In 1992, E-A-Ski released his debut studio album, 1 Step Ahead of Y’all on No Limit Records and the entire album was produced by E-A-Ski and longtime collaborator CMT. In 1995, E-A-Ski left No Limit Records. He contributed the song Blast If I Have To to the Friday soundtrack album. The song also appeared on his debut EP also titled Blast If I Have To.


In 1995, E-A-Ski got another hit With Playa Hater. The second single from the Luniz’s debut album Operation Stackola.

In 1998, E-A-Ski released his long-delayed sophomore album Earthquake on his own imprint label IMGMI. He followed up with his third album The Resume in 2010.

E-A-Ski is planning on releasing his fourth album The Fifth Of Skithoven later this year. Today, the veteran left coast rapper/producer teamed up with R54 for the official dual music video Something Lite/Old Ass Niggas. The tracks are from E-A-Ski’s upcoming album The Fifth Of Skithoven and Something Lite features newcomer Redd Tha Rsonist.
